Sikhlens is encouraging and supporting young Sikh authors to share and develop their writing talents. We want to showcase their mainstream work, so that in the near future these budding authors will write on topics pertaining to the Sikh tradition.
About the Book
This children's book is a short story for pre-school kids. It's a story about a little girl who visits a farm owned by a Big Pig. Everything in the farm is
larger than life, and the little girl has a lot of fun experiencing the farm. This short easy read is colourful and full of life.
About the Author
Noor, currently 11 years old, wrote the book when she was 8. She wrote the story when she was traveling on a bus from Chandigarh to Amritsar, Punjab, India. Noor
has sold the book at a number of community events, and always donates the proceeds to different organizations, e.g. Red Cross, Sikh Center of Orange County and most
recently for the United Way of Houston where she raised $2,100. Noor also studies piano, singing, dancing, theater and art-drawing. She loves to dance, and wants
to continue writing stories, poetry, and publish books to raise money for charitable causes.
