About the Book
Ik Chota Bacha & Other Sikh Nursery Rhymes is a book and
sing-along CD set that contains 10 Sikh themed Kavitas
(poems) sung in Punjabi by children. Each Kavita shares
important values of the Sikh faith. Children and adults will be
tempted to sing along with the Kavitas with their repetitive,
upbeat lyrics. The 24 page, hardcover book is filled with
colorful illustrations of Sikh children doing everyday activities.
The book/CD set is fun and educational for children from the
ages of 2 and up.
About the Author
Jagdeep Singh, author of “Ik Chota Bacha & Other Sikh Nursery
Rhymes”, lives in Southern California with his wife and two daughters.
He plays a very active role within the Ujjaldidar Singh Memorial
Foundation and the Southern California Sikh Community. He is a
dedicated sevadar and a great inspiration to all. He has a wonderful
talent for writing children’s Kavitas to the tunes of popular nursery
rhymes. He began writing these children's songs when his daughter
was two years old and she is now 16.
