About the Book
This hard-covered book is a compilation of 22 essays which have
been divided into two parts.
Part I deals with important issues related to Sikh history and how
they are significanicant in relation to the cultural needs of the
present day.
Part ll relates to the issues, concerns, and problems that Sikhs
living abroad encounter and how a gradual erosion of Sikh values
has taken place. While many these conflicting issues are known to
us, this book offers some relevant and practical solutions.
About the Author
Dr. Jaswant Singh Sachdev is a Neurologist and author of several Sikh books. He has a keen interest in writing about provocative issues that confront the Sikh
community living abroad and solutions to these conflicts. His previous books entitled, “Square Pegs, Round Holes” and “One Coin, Two Sides”, deal with the common
cultural dlilemma found within the Sikh Community, and are a must read. He was given the Outstanding Citizen’s Award by the Arizona Asian American Association for
his outstanding community social service in the Phoenix area.
