About the Book
This exciting new coffee table book explores The Singh Twins’ creative connection with their home city of Liverpool. This full color book focuses on two major public
painting commissions and an award-winning animation film they produced in celebration of Liverpool's rich history and status as the European Capital of Culture in
2008. The book includes their interview with BBC Radio Merseyside Producer, Angela Heslop, and many other previously unpublished works. This book also gives an
insight into the artists’ creative development and processes. Collectively, The Singh Twins’ personal portraits of Liverpool featured in this book offer a unique
artistic vision of a city that has continued to inspire their work.
About the Authors
The Singh Twins, Amrit and Rabindra, are internationally acclaimed
contemporary British artists whose award-winning paintings
explore universal issues of social, political, religious, and
multicultural debate. Through a narrative, decorative, symbolic, and
witty ‘Past Modern’ style, they combine Indian miniature with
aspects of traditional global aesthetics, creating a unique body of
work.
