The Royal Falcon Musical is based on the book written by Jessi Kaur titled, “The Royal Falcon”. The play has a cast of 15 children
and four adults. The main character is Arjan, a Sikh boy, and the other lead role is Khushi, the royal falcon, played by a Caucasian girl.
The Royal Falcon Musical is the story of Arjan, a young boy whose prize possession is stolen by his classmate. He is hopping mad, and wants his special pencil
back. Low and behold, Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s falcon, Khushi, comes alive to help him. Arjan flies with the falcon on a magical journey. Come join us and find
out why Khushi takes Arjan back in time to 1705 to witness Guru Ji’s court in session? Does Arjan get his pencil back? Join Arjan and Khushi on an exciting
adventure where Arjan will learn some important lessons.
The Musical Play is a one hour production, and is presented in English.

Tony Kienitz and Tanna Herr have been working together since they were undergraduates at UCLA’s department of Theatre Arts. Both acted professionally before Tony began writing for the LA Times and authored the book, THE YEAR I ATE MY YARD and Tanna attended The American Film Institute as a directing fellow. Now living in the Bay Area, they have directed countless productions including, HAIRSPRAY, JUNGLE BOOK, and THE BULLY PLAYS.
Jessi Kaur is the author of Dear Takuya, Letters of a Sikh boy, and The Royal Falcon, highly acclaimed children’s books. She is a frequent a speaker at interfaith conferences and has spoken twice at the Parliament of World’s Religions. She was a co-founder of the International Institute of Gurmat Studies. Since the passing on of her brother and mentor with whom she co-founded IIGS, she has started IGS NOW to extend the mission and vision of the organization to include outreach programs through the mediums of visual arts, theater, and film.
