Introduction

Inkquisitive Illustration has risen to the forefront of young artists, creating work that reflects a new movement of self-expression and experimentation. His work is an outlet to create and a tribute to heritage, faith, and his influences. He has become notable for his re-imagining of Sikhi-based imagery and his interpretation of historical figures, places, and events.

Channelling his personal faith and identity into this art, Inkquisitive invests a spiritual element to many of his paintings. Popular pieces include his Golden Temple series, interpretations of the Gurus, Baba Deep Singh, and various freedom fighters like Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Shaheed Udham Singh.

With passing 50,000 dedicated followers and fans on all forms of social media, Inkquisitive created a stir internationally with his first solo exhibition in 2012 and North American Tour in 2013, produced by The Glass Museum. His first Toronto show in 2012 dubbed "Keep Calm, Imagination is Free" resulted in his first documentary directed by Mad Tatter Films.

After the hateful and violent attack on innocent Sikhs at Oak Creek, Inkquisitive was compelled to express his own shock and hurt of the tragedy with a painting. The city of Oak Creek was touched by his effort and now has the Inkquisitive painting hanging in memorial in their city hall.
