THE SAMADHI OF RANJIT SINGH. The ashes of the Emperor are buried here. Within the funerary memorial also lie the samadhis of Maharaja Kharak Singh and Maharaja Naunihal Singh (the second and third emperors of Punjab). Next door stands the Dehra Sahib Gurdwara commemorating the martyrdom of Guru Arjan, the Fifth Guru Sahib.

Both these structures are spectacularly visible from the north-west marble screens of the Sheesh Mahal.
