An aerial view of the ROYAL RESIDENCE of Ranjit Singh. Overlooking the courtyard is the SHEESH MAHAL or THE PALACE OF MIRRORS which constituted his private apartments. Standing on the left of the courtyard, one had an elevated and panoramic view of the city.

Behind the palace itself, looking northwards, the River Ravi used to then flow by the fort's ramparts below.
