Mata Sahib Kaur, known as the 'Mother of Khalsa', was wife of Guru Gobind Singh. She was present at the ceremony of baptism of the Khalsa, 'The Pure Ones' in 1699 AD. She added sugar pellets to the holy nectar to lay stress on sweet conduct of the Khalsa with his strength and eternal energy.
