TIME GO SLOW

‘Dualities’ have always interested this artist. Day and night, life and death, creation and destruction are endless cycles, eternal and ongoing. The tilt of the figures gives a strange tension to this painting.

Life and nature creates, death and time destroys the perennial thread of life. The Yantra on the right is the cosmic stillness, abounding in ancient Indian art, a symbol of energy. The dripping Yantra is dripping Time in the hourglass.

All works of art strive to outlive or outlast Time; hence the three words ‘Time Go Slow’. Only the act of creation can conquer time.
