Actor, Designer, Social Activist | New York, NY Waris Ahluwalia is driven by a deep desire to create stories, products and experiences that captivate, transport and shift perception. In 2007, he founded HOUSE of WARIS, a company dedicated to working with artisans around the world. As an actor, he has worked with acclaimed directors like Wes Anderson and Spike Lee, and actors like Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Denzel Washington and Cate Blanchett.

As a model, Waris has been featured in advertisement campaigns for Gap, Gucci and Vogue Homme, amongst others. Despite the recognition, he was profiled for his turban and beard and prohibited from boarding his flight from Mexico in 2016. He remained there until the airline publicly apologized and fixed the policy.

Waris moved from Punjab, India to New York at the age of five, where he was the only Sikh child throughout his education.
