Canadian Sikh support of its arts and creative talent has extended to initiatives and community members outside Canada. It includes international collaborations that have produced landmark exhibitions such as 'The Arts of the Sikh Kingdoms', which toured from London's Victoria and Albert Museum, and acquisitions of original artwork by internationally renowned artists which reflect the global Sikh perspective and signify how the community is now recognized as an important, integral part of Canada's diverse cultural heritage.

One of the first paintings by Sikh artists to be acquired by a public Canadian art collection is a work by The Singh Twins, which is currently housed at Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum. Titled, 'The Finishing Touch' the painting (featured above) offers a positive image of multiculturalism built on mutual respect between diverse cultures and religions, where tradition and modernity co-exist harmoniously - echoing Sikhism's universal outlook and practical way of life.
