2012

The 2012 Sikhpoint Calendar is the first Going Global year: Sikhs in Canada, through a commission the Singh Twins made for Toronto's Royal Ontario Museum. Each month shows a detail from that painting, in their Past-Modern miniature style.

The painting draws on research including Jagpal Sarjeet Singh's Becoming Canadians: Pioneer Sikhs in Their Own Words (1994), plus community history sites the twins list in the calendar credits. It is a selective overview of Canadian Sikh history and achievements, not a full census.

In 2011 the twins each received an MBE. They are also writers and filmmakers. Their films Nineteen Eighty-Four and the Via Dolorosa Project and The Making of Liverpool both received Creative Media Awards at the Hollywood Sikh Art and Film Festival.
