At a distance of 15-kilometer from Jhang, at the Nanak Sir village, stands the dilapidated Nanaksar Gurdwara, which was constructed in memory of Guru Nanak's visit to this village. It is in a large compound comprising buildings from two different eras, one with the thin nanki bricks and the other with thicker bricks of the 20th century.

The sanctum has a beautiful design of a bricked canopy on its exterior. Very old stone plaques with Gurbani inscriptions are still affixed onto the walls of the gurdwara. For many years after the partition, a school operated in the gurdwara while a migrant family lived in one of its sections.

Due to lack of maintenance, when the building started collapsing in 1995, the school vacated the premises and thereafter the family has become its sole resident. The monument is architecturally beautiful but like many other heritage sites, is on the verge of extinction.
