During the visit to Baba Farid's shrine, Guru Nanak had stayed at the Nanak Tibba village, about eight kilometres from Pakpattan. At this village, he met Baba Ibrahim Farid Sani, the 10th in succession to Baba Farid's lineage. In discourse with Baba Farid Sani, Guru Nanak collated the spiritual verses of Baba Farid, which were later documented in the Guru Granth Sahib, enabling the masses to read and understand their deep import.

In memory of Guru Nanak's visit, a gurdwara was built at the Nanak Tibba village. Seven decades after partition, this village continues to be called Nanak Tibba. Sections of the gurdwara have been bricked by villagers to create rooms for personal use.
