Megha village is approached on a dirt-track through a diversion from Satghara towards Chuchek. The Sikh community built this gurdwara in the memory of Guru Nanak, who stayed at this village, during his journey to South Punjab.

Mohabbat Ali, a resident of Megha village, who moved here in 1947 from Sirsa in India, described that he has grown up seeing the large tracts of gurdwara land being slowly encroached upon by the migrants, who have also stripped it of its exterior beauty. According to him, the building of Chota Nanakiana Gurdwara at Megha was used as a school till 2005, but now stands abandoned.
