At Depalpur in Okara district, stands the remains of the dilapidated Chota Nanakiana Gurdwara. This gurdwara was built to commemorate Guru Nanak's visit on his return from Pakpattan, where he had gone to collate the verses of Baba Farid which at that time were passed down the generations through oral tradition.

At this site, Guru Nanak met Daud Gilani, a Sufi saint from Lahore. The Chota Nanakiana Gurdwara is now a residence of two migrant families who have divided it by building a wall through the centre of its compound. Gurbani inscriptions are still visible on the exterior of the gurdwara.
