Anglo Sikh Heritage
The 2009 Sikhpoint Calendar is A Walk Through History: the Anglo Sikh Heritage Trail. ASHT, with the Maharajah Duleep Singh Centenary Trust, works to keep the shared history of Britain and the Sikhs in public view.
2008 included a first official Sikh Heritage Tour of the UK with Sikhpoint.com, a reception at Westminster, and visits to Windsor Castle, the Tower of London, and museums holding Sikh artefacts. Other notes from that year: the rediscovered commemorative stone of Maharani Jind Kaur at Kensal Green, the Sikh Heritage Trail launch at Edinburgh Castle, and Sikhs in Print at St. George's Hall, Liverpool.
Months walk the sites: Elveden (Duleep Singh's grave), Osborne House and Bhai Ram Singh's Durbar Room, the Ancient House Museum and Butten Island statue in Thetford, the British Museum, the V&A (Golden Throne of Ranjit Singh), and the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
